The soggy New England weather didn’t stop the crowd from forming at this year’s Hot Bike East Coast FXR/Dyna Day presented by Barnstorm Cycles.
The winding roads of Massachusetts allowed me and my ride for the weekend (a sweet ‘94 FXRP built by Matt C. of Spady’s Speed Shop) to get a nice taste of some twisties before rolling into the Spencer Fairgrounds.
The second installation of the event, Jake and Sean from Barnstorm were able to once again gather some of the best vendors including Mustang Seats, Bell Helmets and First Manufacturing Co.
As attendees started rolling in and stripping off their raingear, the assembled bikes were a fine representation of how that west coast FXR/Dyna culture is alive and well on the east coast.
There was a solid array of bikes from the show-ready to the road-weary and we were kept entertained by the stunt shows, slow races and raffles emceed by everyone’s favorite: Dumptruck.
All proceeds from this year’s raffle went to Carey Hart’s Good Ride charity.
The winners of the bike show were as follows:
Best Performance Bagger went (yet again) to the local boys from Spady’s Speed Shop (@spadaforachoppers) for their “Performance Whitemare” Road Glide build:
Best Dyna belongs to the Low Rider S of Scott Desimas (@ebscottyd86):
FXR award shoutout to Tom Orrison (@tomahawk914) for his FXR with its Dave Perewitz paint set and 124ci S&S motor:
Barnstorm Cycles pick went to Alex Ulleri (@alexulleri) for his sick Street Bob with killer paint set by Savage Customs (@savage_customs):
This was the second year of the event, but the first year of the campout and, despite the weather, the shenanigans went on well into the early hours of the morning.
According to the Barnstorm boys, next year’s event (scheduled once again at the Spencer Fairgrounds) has plans to be a bigger, better party, continuing to set the standard for FXR/Dyna shows on the east coast.
